How Do I get Started?

  • Vehicle Settings: Linking your vehicle to your windshield tag
  • Payment Settings: Establishing a payment source of a credit card and/or a secure ACH bank transfer.

The Commutyble Mobile App is available for both iOS and Android (simply search for “Commutyble”).  Once downloaded and installed, you can login with your Commutyble User ID and Password.  The App also offers easy access to your pass if/when you drive a loaner car, carpool, etc. and are not in your regular vehicle. Turn your Bluetooth and Location Services on for the Commutyble App, and when you are in front of the gate, you can easily open the gate and park via the App.

Install your new Commutyble Headlamp RFID Tag (CLICK HERE for an image):

    • Tag MUST be mounted horizontally (level, not tilted) and self-destructs if removed

The Commutyble Headlamp Tag is a passive (no battery) RFID device.  It can be read when entering/exiting a Commutyble garage and it remotely operates the gate when authorized by your paid Commutyble account.

IMPORTANT: Headlight Tags MUST BE AFFIXED TO THE DRIVER’S SIDE HEADLIGHT as shown  operate properly. (CLICK HERE for an image)

Headlight tags become unnoticeable once applied. They are manufactured to withstand the elements, car-washing, etc.

Secure bank transfers, debit card and credit cards may all be used as payment methods. Bank transfers take several business days to clear and are processed at no charge. Debit cards and credit cards are processed immediately. Debit cards are processed at no charge – however credit cards carry an additional convenience fee for each transaction.

Funds that have been pre-loaded into the Commutyble Hourly Wallet are available to be used to pay for DAILY/HOURLY parking transactions when using either your Commutyble Headlamp Tag or the Commutyble Mobile App.  Funds for daily/hourly parking are automatically debited from the Wallet upon completion of a parking transaction.

Absolutely! Commutyble is deeply committed to customer security and uses security encryption.  We never keep any sensitive and/or financial information on our servers.  All financial data is maintained on our PCI Level-1 partner processor.

Payments for monthly Passes are due before the 1st of the month. Permits with payments not received by the 1st of the month are automatically suspended. Once payment is received, the Pass is immediately reactivated.

Payments made by bank transfers that are returned as “Insufficient funds” after the 1st of the month are immediately suspended and incur an additional $25 penalty fee. Any tickets required to enter/exit the garage are non-refundable.

Payments for your upcoming monthly parking pass may be paid either manually or via Commutyble’s auto-pay service. To select automated payment, simply go to the “Passes” tab and click “Auto-pay” or “manual pay” to open the pass detail and choose to turn auto-pay on or off.  Auto-pay automatically charges your selected payment method on the 24th of each month for the following month. To pay manually, simply go to the “Passes” tab and click the existing pass to open the pass detail.  If there is an open balance, you can click on the “Pay Now” button.

We’ve tried to make this easy.  Simply access the My Passes tab:

  • Select the Actions dropdown for the Pass and
  • Select “Cancel Renewal” and confirm.

The Pass will remain active until the end of the month and automatically deactivate at midnight on the last day of the month.  Auto-Payments for Passes marked as non-renewing prior to the 24th of the month will not be charged.

Go to My Passes tab and click the pencil to open a dialog to select the amount to load and the payment source.

NOTE: Bank transfers take several business days to clear/be available for use. Please plan to load enough funds in advance.

Great news!  Commutyble has a unique application for Group Payers.  Simply request an invitation to become a Group Payer by writing to: support@commutyble.com.  The Commutyble Group Payer application provides employers a platform to register a single payment account and control all parking services for your employees (or group) such as:

  • Activate
  • Deactivate
  • Replace
  • Remove

All actions automatically flow to your invoice, which can be paid manually or through the Commutyble auto-pay service just like a consumer account.

Oh yes!  Commutyble allows members to register multiple vehicles (family fleet) on their Commutyble account, each with their own Commutyble Headlamp Tag.  All vehicles have access to use the Commutyble Pass, although only one car can use the Pass at a time.  The system will allow the first vehicle to enter using the monthly Pass, and other vehicles that follow will be billed as hourly.  No need to change mirror hang tag or any other device.

Members can also use their Commutyble Mobile App to access their monthly Pass when in a vehicle with no Commutyble Headlamp Tag.  Make sure to turn on both Bluetooth and location services on your mobile device. Upon entering a Commutyble garage, an alert will appear.  When the driver is at the gate, tapping the alert opens the app, which will display a button to open the gate. Magic!

Depending on the location, Short-Term and Guest Passes may be available for residents and/or guests that are visiting residents. These Passes support unlimited IN/OUT access for the term of the Pass. Typically, Short-Term Passes are not available to the general public.

Residents will notice a new tab on their Commutyble account of “My Residence.” Clicking this tab exposes a Site list of locations with available Short-Term Passes.

Clicking the Purchase or Invite Guest button takes you to a page that reflects the number of parking spaces available at the location for each day of the month. Assuming there is availability, the resident can select if the Short-Term Pass is for themselves or a guest.

If selecting Myself, simply:

  • Click the drop-down of Short-Term Visitor/Guest
Choose the Pass Type that best meets the time-frame needed
  • Select the Start Date of the Pass
  • Select the Payment Source of either a registered credit card or bank account.
(Note: Payments by bank transfer must be made 4-business days in advance and carry no additional charge. Payments made by credit card are immediately available, however carry a 3% convenience fee)

Once the Terms and Conditions are confirmed and the Pay Now button has been clicked, the Pass will be processed and added to your My Passes page. The Pass will activate at 00:01 on the Start Date.

If selecting My Guest, simply:

  • Choose if you wish to pay for the Guest Pass or if the Guest will pay for themselves
  • Enter the Guest’s email address and name
  • Select Short-Term Visitor/Guest as the association
  • Choose the Pass Type that best meets the time-frame needed
  • Select the Start Date of the Pass
  • If you are paying for this Pass, select the Payment Source of either a registered credit card or bank account.
(Note: Payments by bank transfer must be made 4-business days in advance and carry no additional charge. Payments made by credit card are immediately available, however carry a 3% convenience fee)
  • If the Guest is paying, you will see the price, but you will not be billed
  • Click either the Pay and Send Invitation OR the Send Invitation button

Upon clicking the button, a notification will be sent to your guest including the User-ID (email) and a temporary Password to register their Commutyble account. Once they have registered their Commutyble account and acknowledged the Short-Term Pass, they can download the Commutyble Mobile App. Once logged in to the Mobile App (with Bluetooth and location service turned on for the app), they will have access to the garage beginning on the start date of the Pass.

Great question!  Let’s be clear…

Short-Term Passes may be created with the same or different number of Day and Nights.

A Pass that has the same number of days and nights mean that the driver must exit the garage no later that 10AM on the day following the number of Pass days.

Example:

Let’s consider a 2-Day / 2-Night Pass that starts on a Tuesday:

  • Pass activates at 00:01 on Tuesday morning
  • Runs throughout: Tuesday daytime, Tuesday night, Wednesday daytime, and Wednesday night.
  • Exit must occur prior to 10AM on Thursday – or additional fees will apply.
We’re sorry, Daily/Hourly tickets are non-refundable.  If you ever have an issue with your Pass, you can press the intercom button for assistance.
